Chemical Peels

What is a chemical peel?  Your epidermal skin cells are constantly transitioning from the bottom of the epidermal layer to the skin surface as the cells lose moisture and slowly die off.  Depending on your age and skin condition, this process takes approximately 28-38 days.  This surface layer of dead cells can cause the skin to look tired, aged and dull. A chemical peel uses an acidic solution to remove the outer layer of skin and stiumulate the production of new skin cells.  The strength of acids determines the depth of exfoliation.  Chemical peels can help improve a number of skin conditions including fine lines and wrinkles, blotchiness, acne, acne scarring, melasma and sun damage.

The Rejuvenize Peel by Skin Medica, addresses various skin conditions of all skin types, including sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring and melasma.  The Rejuvenize Peel is versatile and can be customized for the treatment of your specific condition. The Obagi Blue Peel is a medium depth peel using TCA as the active ingredient mixed with the patented Blue Base from Obagi.  Skin prep with Obagi Nu Derm system is recommended before and after your Obagi Blue Peel. This deeper peel does have a slight discomfort as it is applied and will take about a week to peel in it's entirety.  It is a fabulous peel for correcrtion and skin tightening, as well as hyperpigmentation. This peel can take years off of aging skin!     $350
