In the fast-changing medical cosmetic world, there are so many injectors to choose from. So, how do I pick the right injector? Here are a few important factors to consider before booking an appointment with an aesthetic injector.
Experience
Before choosing an injector, it’s important to know they are experienced in the treatment you are interested in. This means that they not only can perform the treatment correctly but also that they perform it on a regular basis to know complications, risk factors, best practices, and more.
A good injector not only cares deeply about their patient, but also demonstrates knowledge, artistry, and precision. When it comes to injectables it’s not “one size fits all.” A good injector should customize each patient’s treatment plan. It is important that your injector knows the intricate anatomy of the face and how to manage complications. It is the injector’s job to inform you of potential risks and complications associated with injectable treatments. A good injector will help guide you to the right treatment plan and isn’t afraid to say “no” to unnecessary injections.
Credentials
Another important factor to consider is your injector’s credentials. Are they legally equipped to provide this treatment? Do they have proof and evidence of their training available to you? Are they doing it within a medical facility to ensure that they have the necessary tools to provide treatment and address complications?
All of our injectable providers are either Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants that have trained extensively under the clinical director and founder at Spa Medical, Terri Harper, FNP-C. Terri has over 20 years of experience in the industry and is recognized nationally and internationally for her training courses. Our providers also work hard to keep up with the fast-changing medical cosmetic world by attending trainings, seminars, webinars, and inviting reps for educational events. What makes this field so fun is the continuous advancement and discovery of new techniques and products.
